Eskom Political Task Team
The Eskom Political Task Team provides political leadership support to ensure that Eskom is able to meet its obligation of providing electricity. The Eskom Task Team comprises of relevant government departments and agencies that contribute to adding value to resolving challenges faced by Eskom.

Inter-Ministerial Committee on Land Reform and Agriculture
The Inter-Ministerial Committee on land reform provides political oversight and oversees the implementation of cabinet decisions on Land Reform, thus strengthening the championship and leadership on land reform at the national government level. The IMC serves as a catalyst to unleash government’s potential in fast tracking economic development, as well as to mobilise state resources to increase the efficiency and sustainability of land redistribution and restitution.

Inter-Ministerial Task Team To Respond To Matters Raised By Traditional Leaders
This task team is responsible for ensuring that there is a comprehensive approach to efforts of ensuring that rural communities live safe, healthy, dignified lives and enhance public participation, while also ensuring that traditional leaders are empowered and capacitated to deliver on their mandate in a sustainable manner into the future.

Inter-Ministerial Committee on Covid-19 Vaccines
The purpose of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Covid-19 Vaccines is to assist the relevant departments in making timely decisions in order to ensure a smooth roll-out of the vaccination program and to intervene in any issues that may arise during implementation of the vaccination programme.

Anti-Poverty Inter-Ministerial Committee
The Anti-Poverty Inter-Ministerial Committee aims to address identified challenges confronting the implementation of the Anti-Poverty initiatives that cannot be resolved administratively as well as monitor the effectiveness of the government's anti-poverty measures and implementation thereof.

Inter-ministerial Committee on Service Delivery
The aim of the IMC is to provide political oversight and ensure policy coherence, coordination, integration and collaboration across key national departments in the delivery of basic services such as water, sanitation, electricity, roads and transport, human settlements, health, education, as well as, access to social services such as those provided by the department of home affairs. In areas where there are service delivery challenges the IMC co-ordinates and implements early rapid response interventions and trouble-shoots crises in service delivery hotspots.

Presidential Task Team on Military Veterans
The Presidential Task Team on Military Veterans has been tasked to engage with all structures and stakeholders of Military Veterans as well as to facilitate the construction and implementation of viable and sustaining solutions to the enduring challenges experienced by Military Veterans.

Inter-Ministerial Committee on Water and Sanitation
The IMC on Water and Sanitation has been established as an institutional coordinating platform that brings together key players within government, to provide leadership and technical assistance towards the resolution of challenges in the provision of water and sanitation. The IMC provides overall political leadership and oversight on the implementation of interventions to support challenges of water supply and sanitation.

Revitalisation of Rural and Township Economies
To assist the President to grow, diversify and transform South Africa’s rural areas and townships in tapping into the vast opportunity by utilising state procurement in providing better access to goods and services within township hubs and rural areas; creating jobs within these township hubs and rural villages; and integrating township and rural economies to opportunities in the cities.

South African National Aids Council
SANAC is a multi-sector body that advises government on various policy and programmatic aspects of South Africa’s response to HIV, TB and STIs. It is made up of sectors, namely: government, civil society, labour, and private sector. The work of SANAC is also supported by development partners both in terms of technical and financial support. The structure of SANAC includes provincial, district and local AIDS Councils. At national level, SANAC is chaired by the Deputy President, while Premiers and Mayor chair provincial and district AIDS Councils, respectively.

Human Resources Development Council
The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) was established to coordinate human resource development efforts across all sectors of society, including through facilitating conditions that promote the optimal participation of all stakeholders in the planning, stewardship, monitoring and evaluation of human resource development activities in the country. It is a multi-sector structure comprising of Government Ministers, senior business leaders, representatives from organised labour and academia as well as civil society. The work of the HRDC covers education, training, skills development, research, innovation and knowledge creation, which occur from Early Childhood Development to that which takes place in the labour market; and is guided by the Human Resource Development Strategy towards 2030.

Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly
Section 91 (4) of the Constitution provides that the President must appoint a member of Cabinet to be the Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly. Furthermore, Section 91 (5) provides that the Deputy President must assist the President in the execution of the functions of government.
Rule 150 of the Joint Rules of Parliament stipulates that the Leader of Government Business in Parliament is responsible for:
• the affairs of the National Executive in Parliament;
• the programming of parliamentary business initiated by the national executive, within the time allocated for that purpose;
• arranging the attendance of Cabinet members, as appropriate and in respect of parliamentary business; and
• performing any other function provided for by the Joint Rules, or a resolution of the Assembly or the Council, or resolutions adopted in both Houses.

Additionally, the President has assigned to the Deputy President the responsibility of chairing the following Cabinet Committees:
1. Governance, State Capacity and Institutional Development
2. Justice, Crime Prevention and Security
