President Zuma pays return visit to poor Afrikaner community

President Jacob Zuma will on Tuesday, 30 March 2010 pay a return visit to a poor Afrikaner community living in an informal settlement in Hermanstad, Bethlehem.The President will be accompanied by Ministers, Premier of Gauteng Nomvula Mokonyane and the Executive Mayor of Tshwane Dr Gwen Ramokgopa.
President Zuma visited the Bethlehem informal settlement in July 2008 where residents raised issues relating to housing, medical care, social security and unemployment amongst other things.
President Zuma will give a report back to the community as he committed to ensuring that the issues of poverty among South Africans would be addressed across colour lines.
President Zuma’s visit to Bethlehem forms part of his ongoing monitoring of government service and ensuring that people receive quality service.
